47" Prototyping Bumper Foam features a 3lb Open-Cell XPE outer layer for durability and shape control, along with a 5lb Closed-Cell EVA inner core for enhanced, repeated impact absorption. The rounded outer profile improves interaction with other robots and over-the-bumper intakes.
Please Read: The outer Open-Cell XPE portion is not allowed under the 2026 FRC Rules. This bumper "as is" cannot be legally used in an official FRC competition, but given its shape and properties, can be great for testing drivetrains or other mechanical components.
Additionally, the interior closed-cell EVA is legal and can be used after removing the outer portion. This foam will only be available while supply lasts.
